Terms of Service

The simple agreement.

Effective: May 10, 2026 Last updated: May 10, 2026

Your agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and PawCast ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the PawCast app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

The App is distributed exclusively through Apple's App Store, so Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies — these Terms layer on top of, and never override, that EULA. Where the two conflict, Apple's EULA wins.

Apple EULA You can read Apple's standard Licensed Application EULA at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

License to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store EULA. You may not:

  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App;
  • remove or alter any proprietary notices;
  • use the App to violate any law or third-party right.

Your account

PawCast does not require — and does not offer — an account. Your dog profile, walks, and history live on your device. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some EU member states) to use the App.

Subscription & billing

PawCast requires an active PawCast Premium subscription to use the App after onboarding. Premium is offered as one of two auto-renewing subscriptions in a single subscription group:

  • Annual: $49.99 USD per year, auto-renewing each year.
  • Weekly: $9.99 USD per week, auto-renewing each week.

All purchases and renewals are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. Pricing in your local currency is shown to you on the App Store before you buy. Apple may apply local taxes.

Your subscription auto-renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is taken from the same Apple ID within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage and view your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.

From time to time we may present an Apple promotional offer (a discounted renewal of the Annual subscription) inside the in-app cancellation flow. Eligibility is enforced by Apple.

Cancel & refunds

You can cancel any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.

Because Apple processes all payments, refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't issue refunds directly and we can't reverse Apple's decision, but if something feels wrong, message us through the contact form and we'll do what we can to help.

Acceptable use

Don't use the App to harm yourself, your dog, or anyone else. Don't try to disrupt the App or its servers, scrape data, or use it for any illegal purpose. We can suspend access if you do.

Not veterinary advice

The walk score is a decision-support tool. It is not a substitute for the judgment of a licensed veterinarian or your own observation of your dog. If your dog shows signs of heat stress, breathing difficulty, lameness, or any medical issue, contact a vet — not the App. We disclaim responsibility for outcomes that result from following or ignoring the score.

Intellectual property

The App, the walk-score model, the visual design, the brand, and all related materials are owned by PawCast and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The content you create — your dog's profile, photos, walk routes, notes — stays yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service.

Warranty disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Weather, air-quality, pollen, and UV data come from third-party providers and may be inaccurate or unavailable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawCast and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post an in-app notice before it takes effect. Continued use of the App after the change means you accept the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your home country.
